A CLOCK

I’m your first friend,
I tell you when classes end.
With every tick I make
You think: “ How long time
Has been left until the break?”
You watch me impatiently,
And think desperately: how many
Minutes left should be?
Then you resume your activities,
The clock is the problem, you know.
During break, nobody pays attention to me,
But I show the time with fidelity.

And when they realize what the time is
They say: “The break is over, guys.”
Sometimes I get tired and I fall asleep
But when I wake up you can hear a beep.
I don’t like vacations, especially nights,
Because nobody remembers to turn on the lights.
Without students I bad feel
And when I fall ill,
Either I get fixed.
Or with rubbish I get mixed.
